about

This song is one of the few I've written that has no real meaning behind it. The lyrics are just words I threw together because I thought they sounded cool. It's also one of the tracks from a rushed, badly mixed EP that I put out in a hurry, and so now I'm going back and re-doing them.

This one and another track from said EP, "End of Days," have remained largely the same, while the other three tracks are being re-worked, and will likely not be re-released for some time.

lyrics

I keep slipping out of time
Watch you bring your hell to life

(Running and crying and fighting and dying every day)
Tear my skin and break my bones
(Try to move on, but there's always something in the way)
Set me on the right way home

Reach for the sky
And clap for the puppeteer
(Forfeit your life to me, no sudden movements please)
Spiraling downward
In the last great moment, put your hands up to the sky

Take for granted all you know
Die as you suffer, good and slow

(Running and crying and fighting and dying every day)
Tear my skin and break my bones
(Try to move on, but there's always something in the way)
Set me on the right way home

Screaming from the top of our lungs
A haven for all who're lost

Reach for the sky
And clap for the puppeteer
(Forfeit your life to me, no sudden movements please)
Spiraling downward
In the last great moment, put your hands up to the sky

Reach for the sky
And clap for the puppeteer
(Forfeit your life to me, no sudden movements please)
Spiraling downward
In the last great moment, put your hands up to the sky
